Frequently asked questions
Many agencies and programs accept electronically submitted fingerprints for occasions such as adoption and obtaining a firearm permit. Certain careers and professions also require fingerprints as part of a background check, including civil servants, government personnel, teleworkers, nurse practitioners, physicians, pharmacists, dentists, and more.
FBI Channeling is an expedited method for obtaining a personal FBI background check. FBI Channelers, who are authorized contractors, transmit digital fingerprints to the FBI and receive FBI criminal history record information (CHRI) for authorized noncriminal justice purposes.
Fingerprints 101 is registered with a FBI Channeler to perform and transmit your fingerprints for expedited services.
To obtain a copy of your FBI criminal history records, follow the procedures outlined in Title 28, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Sections 16.30 through 16.33, or visit the FBI website at [FBI Criminal History Summary Checks](http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/criminal-history-summary-checks).
We can fingerprint you and request a copy of your criminal records check on your behalf via our FBI Channeler. The report will be sent to your personal email within 24 to 48 business hours.
We do not offer refunds for services rendered or no call/no show appointments due to processing fees. However, you can get a refund if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance or in special circumstances, subject to review. If your fingerprints are rejected, we offer a one-time free refingerprinting service with a valid rejection letter. Please contact our office to schedule.
